Australian psalmist, composer and music producer. His main passion is composition, worship that exalts the King of kings! Since he was 15 years old, Nathan has been composing songs and leading worship teams in different congregations around the world. As a producer, Nathan has produced more than 40 albums & composed a large number of songs for other artists; This experience of Worship and creativity lead the solid beginning of what is today "El Despertar" (Founded by Nathan and Mary in 2011) "El Despertar" is the heart of the ministry behind the music. "Our purpose is to inspire genuine worship ... We were born to worship" Currently, Nathan is based with his wife Mary in Medellín, Colombia and Australia from where they operate as a ministry with coverage from their local Church. EXPERIENCE & CAREER In 2012 Nathan began to sing and preach in Spanish and his love for the language began to grow more and more. As a Psalmist and Minister, Pastor Marco Barrientos represents a great influence and inspiration for Nathan and the Awakening ministry.
This developed a Kingdom-like friendship between both Psalmists and ministries, and in 2015, a record and music partnership was signed between the Aliento Music Group label and the Australian label, as well as a ministerial partnership. Part of Nathan's experience stems from his time leading worship and working as music director at Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia. He also taught and trained at the Hillsong Leadership Institute and worked on various music productions in the studio. Not to mention the ministerial training that comes from being the son of Missionary Pastors David and Norma Ironside.
Colombian communicator and international relations professional. Her passion for communications, missions, and her value for family make this native Colombian the perfect match for creating Kingdom relationships. Her priority in life is relationships! First and foremost with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and with her family, including her Australian husband, Nathan, and her daughter, Hannah Joy Ironside. As a pastor and one-on-one missionary with Nathan in Colombia, her mission is to see people awaken to their true identity in Christ, alive, awake, and responding now. Nathan and Mary have been ordained as pastors by the Australian organization INC, the International Network of Churches. Currently, Nathan, Mary, and El Despertar train and equip churches and ministries in the areas of creative arts, communications, and worship. EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND In 2013, Nathan and Mary served as Worship and Creative Arts Pastors at Road To Life Church in Indiana, USA, one of the fastest-growing newly planted churches in the U.S. They hold a Master's degree in Communication Arts and International Relations from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, and a degree in Communication and Corporate Relations from the University of Medellín. In 2010, Mary served as a Communicator for the Colombian Consulate in Australia, a volunteer leader at Hillsong Church in Australia for four consecutive years, and as the Regional Missions Coordinator in Colombia. Like her husband, Mary, she is the daughter of Ministers-Pastors Alberto and Patricia Tangarife, of the Assemblies of God in Colombia.
During this last year 'El Despertar' has ministered and led one of the most representative events in the subject of worship in the city of Medellin "Noche El Despertar" as well as led praise and worship with the Psalmist and Pastor Marco Barrientos, the North American group 'Jesus Culture' in Colombia, South America, Danilo Montero, Ingrid Rosario, Christine D'Claro, Marcela Gandara, Marcos Brunet, Espiritu & Verdad, among others, in events throughout South America & United States.
